N. Jakarta Administrators Participate in Sunter Lake Swimming Event

In today's Car Free Day (CFD), North Jakarta Administrators were joined to enliven swimming event which held at Sunter Lake, Sunter Jaya, Tanjung Priok, Sunday (1/28).

Swimming in lake is different from pool. It has its own challenges

Several administrators who joined swimming event were North Jakarta Secretary, Desi Putra; North Jakarta Library and Archive Sub-dept., Bambang C.H.; and Sunter Agung Urban Village Head, Andi Dirham.

North Jakarta Mayor, Husein Murad explained, this swimming event was part of Sunter Lake Festival preparation that will be held by the end of February. He mentioned, lake water is now safe for swimming.

Sidewalk of Sunter Lake Arrangement Accelerated

"Based on research results, water is clean now. We hold swimming event by crossing the lake since it is in decent condition," he stated.

He hopes, current arrangement will make lake area becomes cleaner and more comfortable thus many people will not hesitate to do water sports, such as swim and jet ski.

"Swimming in lake is different from pool. It has its own challenges," he expressed.

Besides North Jakarta Administrators, this swimming event was also participated by tens athletes from swimming communities and Kolinlamil.
